MyGirlFund.com Review: Read the Fine Print Before You Sleep with Them
We are new to the “adult” industry so we’ve been learning about popular websites to make money by showing some skin. I’ve been giving myself a crash course courtesy of Google University. That’s how I discovered MyGirlFund.com. The site allows models (mostly female) to establish financial goals which are then supported by benefactors (typically male).
Here’s an example of a a MyGirlFund goal:
I am currently a fulltime student who attends a very prestigious hair academy over 20hrs/wk. Aside from the classes, I am very involved in the school community and hope to grow with the company. For now, I continue researching salons and career choices that will help Me get where I need to go. I am very driven when I want something, and yes, I pretty much ALWAYS get what I want. Also, I am about to finish school in the next couple months and need to build a new hair tool kit so I will be need some mighty expensive items. lol
Nothing wrong with being driven and getting what you want. But now you might be thinking, how DO these girls make money?
Making Money with MyGirlFund
In order to reach their goals they have a few options: chatting with benefactors, selling photos or movies of themselves (typically nude and doing “naughty” things). All of these activities cost credits on the website. Benefactors purchase credits which they use to donate or purchase goods from the models. Models end up making 65% of what they get paid. If you did your math correctly that means the website makes 35% in order to cover their payment costs and operational costs.
Models are Like Restaurants
Clicking through different model’s profiles is like looking at different restaurant menus. Different people offer different items, specials, and services.
“In da Club Chair Dance Strip Down” – $10
Various picture sets message for pricing
“Lotion Rubdown Video” – $10
What impressed me most was how entrepreneurial the models were in how they marketed and promoted their products and services. Just by the few “ads” I’ve shown you can see the different strategies the models take when advertising One creative model had a competition where whomever beat her fantasy football team would get a free set of photos of her. It’s a good way to promote to football fans and get them to contribute.
The Devil’s in the Details
MGF seemed like a good deal to me. Girls offer what they are willing to do and guys pay for it. Win-win for everyone. But before joining a site like MyGirlFund, ExtraLunchMoney.com (our site), or similar sites it’s important that you be aware of each sites terms of use. Here are some things to be aware of.
Communication is NOT private
They can, will, and do monitor all private messages and web cam sessions. I’m not a hundred percent sure why they do this, but it seems like the biggest reason is so that models don’t end up taking their benefactors with them to other websites. This way they are bound to MyGirlFund. Here’s what one Stipperweb Forum user had to say about her experience with MGF:
i was doing a prvt show for a customer a hitachi show and a slip of the tongue i let mention i was on mfc…. they banned me immediately! like they record everything and apparently someone is always watching its sooo fucked up garrrrrr thay are giving me my money but still im soooo pissed.
fuck them
The “MFC” she mentions is another website that does webcamming called MyFreeCams.com.
At ExtraLunchMoney we also monitor all communications just like they do. We monitor communications for a few reasons:
- Make sure people aren’t doing things that are illegal
- Ensure users aren’t being harassed by others
- Make sure people aren’t being solicited by other services
You Grant A License Allowing Them to Use their Content
This is a pretty standard clause on most social networks (ourselves included) that anything you put on the site grants MyGirlFund permission to use your content for promotional and other purposes. From their terms of use:
3. By posting User Submissions on any area of the Website, you automatically grant as well as represent and warrant that you have the right to grant to MGF, an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, and distribute such information and content to the Website and that the MGF has the right to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing.
Why do sites do this? This allows sites to potentially use your images, written content as advertisements and other promotional content. It also protects sites from users suing them for using and displaying their content. This way you can’t go back and say “hey you used that against my permission.”
Conclusions and Lessons Learned
The point of this article is not say you shouldn’t use MyGirlFund, but just to point out some potential areas you should be aware of before joining MyGirlFund or any similar website. Other than that it seems like a pretty good website that helps out quite a few girls accomplish their financial goals. As always I’d recommend you do your homework before you decide to jump in bed with any adult oriented website (this includes our website as well).
So what did we learn from MyGirlFund that we plan on doing on ExtraLunchMoney.com?
- Allow models to set their own prices for different products and services they offer
- Let the make more than 65% of what they charge
- Don’t be paranoid about models talking about other websites or services they are on (ie viewing their webcam sessions and then banning them)
- Don’t limit models to US and Canada
Any other suggestions? We’d love to hear your thoughts…
UPDATED 9-16-2011:
As this post was written almost a year ago a lot has changed and wanted to update it.
- Instead of a set 35% fee that MyGirlFund charges sellers it is a dynamic fee that ranges from 10% to 35%.
- When we wrote the post we hadn’t launched our website, but we charge a flat fee of 35%. So while we wanted to go lower than them we couldn’t, but maybe in the future.
- MyGirlFund now allows people in Canada and elsewhere to join.
- Be careful what you write about MyGirlFund. If they don’t like what you say you might hear from their lawyers

I do like the wishlist option on http://www.myfreeimplants.com that is private and secure and some benefactors enjoy shopping, spending the times waiting thinking of how you (or they) will look in what they bouhg you and custom picture sets from what they buy and send you.
Paid messages are good as well. Contests are fun and helpful.
Hi,
Very good points, but your information is a bit outdated.
First of, the website is now open to not only Canada and the US, but UK and Australia as well when it comes to accepting models.
Guys from all over the world are able to join, I’ve chatted with guys from Russia, France, Iraq, pretty much everywhere.
Second of all, the website doesn’t have a set 35% fee anymore, they have a system where the more the model earns the more her fee goes down up to a total of 90%. No other website does this!
You can get your money deposited directly into your bank account for a total of only $2.00 and there’s minimum that you have to keep in your funds or no minimum amount that you can take out. Which means you have access to your fund for whatever you need at any time.
3. Not all ladies on there get naked or do “naughty things” LOL. In fact some are just single mothers or students who just chat with lonely guys. Some never webcam, just make custom videos or photo sets. It’s different for everyone. You should never put everyone in the same category. We are all unique.
4. I was on many other websites including MFC and MyFreeImplants before I found Mygirlfund and let me tell you I really wish I had found Mygirlfund earlier.
The other websites make you wait almost a month before you see any of your payments, and some only send it to you once you’re reached a certain amount first.
Amazon wishlists are nice and all, getting gifts is great, but only cash can pay your mortgage bills. lol
5. the reson MGF monitors your conversations is so guys don’t try to meet the girls outside of the site, as in real life situations. I think it’s a good reason, don’t you?
I know many guys who go on these websites thinking it’s like dating and they can get laid, when nothing could be furthere from the truth.
to this day I have never heard of MGF starting their own porn site using any of the girls materials.
Overall, so far I have nothing but great things to say about this website. If you understand the rules they have posted before you sign up and realize that it’s NOT a “real life” dating site, you should have a great experience as well.
Actually MGF is a joke. They take 35% of a girls income which is absolutely ridiculous and they will ban you for any little thing. If you do get banned they KEEP the money you made which is also complete BS because YOU made that money aka you brought that money to them. That constitutes working and not getting paid.
Also they ban for reasons not stated in their rules. I know a whole bunch of main girls that are developing a counter site which will be much better. The girls are not supposed to talk amongst each other but have found creative loop holes in the system. In addition, the men are not supposed to provide information, however when you are on Cam it is possible because there are many ways we all have gotten away with it.
AVOID MGF at all costs. 35% is ridiculous, and the guys have to pay a large fee to have a memebership as well. The website is a scam!
ELM also takes 35%, Einstein.
Nice attempt at a smear tho.
Yup we (ELM) also take 35%. We encourage everyone to evaluate each site on its own merits. The best is to try each site and see what works and doesn’t work for you. Overall we’ve heard good things about MGF. But like anything there are people who have negative experiences as well. Try it and see and you’ll know for sure…
I am on MGF (mygirlfund.com/BeckySurreal) and I love it!

Is there anyway around MGF ?? Im trying to find out if a model that is on MGF has her own personal website does anyone know how that could be done without MGF flagging me ??? how do i get this models personal email address, yahoo IM, etc ….
Thanks much
I’ve read so much negativeity about MGF. I used to be on there, loved the money, hated the tech guy, all the crap they give you. I recently found a new site, where I have had nothing but positive experiences with any and all aspects. If anyone is looking for a site just like MGF, with less of a percentage, and a better overall attitude, come check us out
SUPPORTMYWISH.COM.
I’m vavavoom on there
I have found that mygirlfund is a great way for me to have fun and help keep my lights on. If you think of it as a job, then you might not be as pleased because the income there is cyclical. I think of it as a way to make friends and have fun doing it. It is just something I am doing to help me raise money during a very difficult financial time.
I also belong to supportmywish, but I have not seen any income from that site. I think because it is newer, there are less members. Plus, I like the interface of mygirlfund so much better.
I actually am a member of ELM, as well. I haven’t had any bites yet on content, but I hope to devote some more time to ELM soon. It has a really nice format and I applaud the site owner for being transparent.
The commenter above says she doesn’t like tech on MGF, but she has rejoined, so she must have weighed the pros/cons and decided that MGF was a good place after all.
Find me at http://www.mygirlfund.com/playtime_jeni
Thanks for giving us a shot. We’re working on a lot of new stuff and improvements. We definitely want to keep everyone in the loop with what we’re doing
I just signed up for MGF last week and so far I’m finding it to be OK. It’s def. not my main source of income but if I could make an extra couple hundred a week by devoting maybe an hour a day to the site, then why not?
I signed up with ELM but your payment method doesn’t work in Ny =[
Totally understand. Whatever works and makes you money. That’s what matters at the end of the day. We’ll be adding other payment methods so please be patient with us.
As a buyer who spends a lot of money in these types of lifestyles for well over 8 years now, MGF needs to stop brainwashing these girls into thinking they have their best interest at heart. One girl told me on there…”we love MGF because they monitor people so crazies don’t harass us”. Ummm…WHAT???? lol So when you go out to a bar dressed sexy as hell, does MGF protect you there as well??? lol Plus…to prove her point baseless…I found whatever information I needed about her to show MGF and sites like this don’t provide the security they think they do. This girl was in utter shock that I found out private information about her. There are so many free places for you ladies to put all that money in your own pocket, instead of sites like MGF stealing it form you.
As a serious buyer…I will never be a member of any type of place like MGF or any other place, cause they are nothing but frauds. Plus…you all need an attorney to review your so called laws, cause “lewd laws” are still on the books in many states in the U.S. So while you’re trying to prey on these women, please let them know that “Lewd” laws DO exist in this country. Don’t believe me…Google it!!
Places like MGF are for people who liked being brain washed and scare you with scare tactics. You’re in more danger of a crazy attacking you going to the local grocery store…then getting nude on cam in the privacy of your home!
It’s quite simple…pay a 35% fee to a website who doesn’t have your privacy (they can monitor you…do you know who these people are?) or you can pocket ALL the money for yourself in other FREE places around the internet. I’ve bought from well over 250 women..and some of them are very popular in many different lifestyle…and they would agree with me.
Just my opinion as a Buyer.
what are those websites?
Unfortunately I don’t think its very fair that if a girl gives out personal info she is banned for life whereas a male buyer gives out his and he is only warned.
when really i was terminated for no reason of my doing. I don’t want ppl to think I don’t deliver my content. Not only that but the remaining funds I had in there, they took even though I have the email from them saying they were depositing funds into my account. I hope they returned the money to the men but i don’t think they did for some reason.
This happened to me. A man sent me a photo link with his email and I ignored it. I didn’t report it b/c I was afraid he would create a new profile and falsely report me for something bogus. I ignored it and a few wks later mgf banned me after I had just made a video that I had already gotten paid for. Now that man that bought it probably thinks I sold him out
I like elm but there is too much porn on it, which I don’t do. I mainly do fetish & tease pics etc so I hope sometime in the future they make it a little more private as far as not showing total xx of the girls’ content for free (like previews). I liked mgf b/c they didn’t allow xxx pics publicly. It was def more classy but I appreciate the idea of elm
I don’t know if anyone else knows this but they vote on who is verified on the site. You can sign up and stuff but you can sell or do anything till you are verified. I tried to get on there and waited a week with no response til I emailed them about it. In their email their response to why I haven’t been verified yet: “Select members vote models in. We can neither influence nor speed up the process.”
I was TWICE ripped off on custom videos there, ordered a video from a girl, we agreed as to the run time, and twice, with two different girls the video was short two or three minutes
plus one girl blocked me for nothing, absolutely NOTHING
